LAHORE: The Punjab Agriculture Department has announced that it will start accepting applications for Phase 2 of the Green Tractor Scheme in August 2025. This was shared during a recent meeting held on Wednesday.
In this new phase, the government will give 20,000 tractors to farmers at special discounted prices, helping them improve their farming with modern equipment.
What’s Included in Phase 2?
The new phase is bigger and better than before. Here are the main updates:
- 10,000 tractors (50–65 HP) will be given with a Rs. 500,000 subsidy per tractor
- 10,000 high-power tractors (75 HP and above) will be offered with a Rs. 1 million subsidy
- These tractors include both local and imported models
- The scheme aims to make farming easier and more productive for small and medium-sized landowners

How Can Farmers Apply?
Farmers from all over Punjab will be able to apply online or by visiting their nearest agriculture office. Full details will be shared soon on the official website.
To apply, farmers will need:
- A valid CNIC
- A working Kissan Card
- Ownership of agricultural land in Punjab
The selection process will be fair and transparent, using a lottery system, so every eligible farmer gets a chance.
