Recipe of Apricot and peach fries
Apricot and peach fried pies (A recipe of Apricot and peach fries) have the top flavor of any fried pie I’ve always eaten. My family loves these excessive pies. This a delicious recipe, my grandma made this up years ago. I have prepared this yummy fried pie for over 40 years.
Ingredients
Dough:
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup shortening
1 mug milk
Filling:
8 ounces dried apricots
1 (6-ounce) package of dried peaches
¾ cup white sugar
Water to protection
2 cups vegetable oil for frying

To Make Crust: In a big bowl, mix composed flour and salt. Cut in shortening until the blend is crumbly. Mix in milk and stir until the dough methods a ball. Roll out dough and censored into 18 6-inch rings. Set aside. (Recipe of Apricot and peach fries)
To Make Filling: In a huge saucepan, with apricots, peaches, and sugar. Add sufficient water to cover the fruit. Cover the pan and cook over low warmth until the fruit is falling apart. Remove the lid and remain to cook until the water is evaporated.
Place oil or shortening in a small high-sided skillet. Place over medium heat. Serve equal amounts of filling into each pie circle and bend it in half. Seal the pastry with a fork dipped in frozen water.(a delicious recipe)

Cook’s Note:
If you use shortening, like Crisco®, soften it so it’s two inches deep.
